Details

Second British Passport - Requirements:

  1. A&M Visa order form
  2. Original application form- from the Post Office completed in capital letters and black ink only
  3. Current passport copy (Passport Office might request original passport to be submitted)
  4. Passport Office will confirm service when applying with passport copy.
  5. 2 photographs (off white background) - Photos have to be identical, in colour, taken within the last month, taken against a light grey or cream background. Black and white photos won't be accepted.
  6. If you are applying for your first Second British passport section 10 on the application form and one of the photographs must be countersigned.

  7. Original letter from applicant’s employer fully addressed to Passport Office in London.
  8. Authorisation letter completed and signed by the applicant

If the applicant’s appearance has changed since the last passport photo was taken, or if previous passport was valid only for 5 years, or the passport is damaged or expired 6 months ago or more, one of these photos needs to be countersigned in BLACK INK by a professionally qualified person who has known the applicant for at least 2 years. The counter-signatory must also sign section 10 of the Application Form. Counter signatories must hold either an Irish or British passport and must enter a UK address on the form.
